Introducing Our Expanded Refer-a-Friend Program for Summer 2027!
Some of the best things about Camp Alleghany are meant to be shared!
For generations, our camp community has grown through families sharing their experiences with friends, neighbors, classmates, and relatives. Some of our most wonderful campers first discovered Alleghany because another family simply couldn’t stop talking about it!
We know that sending a child to summer camp is a significant investment, especially as families navigate the rising costs of everyday life. We also know how valuable your personal recommendations are in helping new families discover Alleghany. With both of those things in mind, we’ve decided it’s time to make our Refer-a-Friend program even more rewarding!
The More You Refer, the More You Earn!
Beginning with referrals for Summer 2027, families can earn increasing tuition credits for introducing new campers to Alleghany.
Here’s how it works:
New Camper Referred | Tuition Credit | Total Earned |
First | $300 | $300 |
Second | $400 | $700 |
Third | $500 | $1,200 |
Fourth | $600 | $1,800 |
Fifth | $700 | $2,500 |
And it doesn’t stop there! Each additional new camper referral earns $100 more than the one before it, with no limit on the number of referrals.
For example, if you refer three new campers who attend in Summer 2027, you’ll earn $1,200 in tuition credits toward Summer 2028!
How Does It Work?
It’s simple!
- Share Alleghany! Tell your friends, neighbors, classmates, and family members about your daughter’s camp experience.
- Have them mention you when registering. New families must list your family as their referrer in the “How did you hear about Alleghany?” section of their registration.
- Earn tuition credit! Once the referred camper completes her first summer at Alleghany, your referral credit will be applied toward your family’s tuition for the following summer.
Host a Gathering and Earn Another $300!
Another wonderful way to introduce new families to Alleghany is through small, informal gatherings hosted by current camp families.
These gatherings don’t need to be elaborate! Invite a few friends over for coffee, gather interested parents for an evening together, or even host a virtual conversation.
We’d love to help! We can provide materials, answer questions, and even arrange for a member of the Alleghany team to join you, depending on your location.
As a thank-you, families who host an informational gathering will earn an additional $300 tuition credit!
We especially encourage gatherings between November and March, when families are beginning to think about their summer plans.

Sharing Alleghany Is Easier Than You Think!
You don’t have to host a gathering to make a difference. Sometimes a simple conversation is all it takes!
You might:
- Tell a friend what your daughter loves about Alleghany.
- Share a favorite camp memory or photo on social media.
- Introduce Alleghany to families at your school, church, or in your neighborhood.
- Share an episode of our Ghany Gatherings podcast.
- Post our “Let’s Talk About Camp!” graphic on social media or in a parent group.

A Few Important Details
- New campers only: Referral credits are earned only for a camper’s first summer at Alleghany. You cannot earn additional referral credits for the same camper in subsequent summers.
- Make sure you’re named! The new family must list you as their referrer in the “How did you hear about Alleghany?” section of their registration for you to receive credit.
- Credits are earned after camp: Referral credits are awarded once the referred camper completes her first summer at Alleghany.
- Credits apply to the following summer: For example, referrals who attend in Summer 2027 earn tuition credits toward Summer 2028.
- No limit on referrals: Credits start at $300 for the first new camper and increase by $100 with each additional new camper referred.
- Tuition credit only: Credits are nonrefundable, nontransferable, and have no cash value. Total credits may not exceed the full cost of the camper’s tuition for the summer in which they are applied. Credits exceeding that amount do not carry forward.
