On Closing Day, please follow the procedures outlined below.
Should there be a change in plans that would affect your arrival/departure (e.g., weather), you’ll receive an email, text or phone call from one of the directors prior to arriving at camp. Parents of bus riders will also be informed of their pick-up times and locations. Otherwise:
Upon registering online, you noted who is authorized to pick your camper up in your absence. We will not allow campers to leave with anyone other than who you listed on the application. Please notify the Office at Office@campalleghany.com or 304-645-1316 if anything has changed.
When you arrive at camp, check in with a counselor and they will help you load your car with your camper’s luggage, which will already be waiting for you across the river.
For the safety of all families and Camp Alleghany staff members in the parking lot, please strictly adhere to the counselors’ directions.
We will send for your camper and you may wait in the parking lot for her, OR you may go across the river to collect her yourself.
Please note that pets are not allowed in camp on Opening or Closing Days.
We also respectfully request that you follow our Electronics Policy as soon as you enter Camp Alleghany’s property, and leave all of your camper’s electronic devices in your car. Additionally, please do not allow her to use your phone or other devices while in camp.
Pick up time is between 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Please come within this time frame — no earlier or later.
Medications will be packed in your camper’s trunk.
Any remaining Store account balance will be refunded online directly to the account you paid with.
