Fall Reunions 2022
This past weekend our Camp Alleghany Team traveled to Alexandria, VA, and Richmond, VA to host our annual Reunions! It was SO fun to see current campers, meet potential campers and visit with our alumni; we are still recovering from all the fun!
Fun and Games
What would a Camp Reunion be without a few games and other fun treats? Our attendees got to draw their favorite Evening Activity on this summer’s calendar, create a campfire collage of what they are thankful for, watch a slideshow from this summer, eat yummy treats, play life-sized Jenga and connect with camp friends!
As if all of this wasn’t enough, we also hosted a raffle with prizes from the Camp Store! Our lucky winners walked away with some cool ‘Ghany Gear.
Don’t worry, everyone walked out of the reunion with a little take-home treat. We stuffed some specialty 100th Anniversary Cups with a camp favorite: Peppermint Patties and Peanut Butter!

These Reunions would not have happened without help from our Alumni volunteers, in DC our team included Melina McCrary, Lisa Sontag, Whitley Taylor, and Lilly Walsh. Our Richmond Volunteers: Hannah Baker, Laura Gorsuch, Sarah Russel, and Anna Prillaman. We could not have pulled these off without their help, and we were so happy to see them!
We can’t forget our hosts, St. Stephens & St. Agnes School, and St. Catherines School, we thank you for letting us use your space for these amazing events!
What we are Looking Forward to
Yearbooks! If you attended a reunion you know that we are putting the final touches on our yearbooks and expect them to be in your mailbox by Christmas! We are so excited to share the new look of our yearbooks with you all.
Counselor Announcements! We have been busy interviewing and hiring counselors for Summer 2023 and we are almost ready to begin announcing them – keep an eye on our social media pages and website for those announcements and updates!
Reminder! Registration is Open- and our Early Bird Pricing will end soon!
Registration for 2023 is open, and our Early Bird pricing will end on December 1. Our sessions are filling up fast, so take advantage of our early bird pricing and register by December 1! Additionally, you can help us fill our remaining spaces by sharing information about Alleghany with your friends and family (and don’t forget about our Refer-a-Friend discount!).
We hope all of our campers, counselors, new campers, and volunteers had as much fun as we did this weekend. It was great to hear about what you’ve been up to this fall and your plans for the rest of the year. As the Holiday Season fast approaches, these Fall Reunions were a wonderful reminder of what we are thankful for, YOU, our campers, counselors, and alumni who make ‘Ghany so special.
