How Can I See Pictures of my Camper While She is at Alleghany?

As a parent, it’s natural to want a glimpse into your child’s camp life and activities, and many camps, including ours, understand the importance of sharing these moments with families.

Our Mission Statement

At Alleghany, our mission is to naturally inspire growth through honor, loyalty, and friendship. We believe in providing a positive and growth-oriented experience for every camper. While capturing these moments through photography is important to us, it is crucial to understand that our primary focus is on fulfilling our mission and ensuring that each camper has a transformative and enriching summer.

Picture Posting Schedule

We are thrilled to offer the service of posting photos of camp life, including your campers, on our password-protected photo site, Campanion. However, we also want to be transparent about the challenges we face in capturing every single camper each day. With over 200 campers in camp, achieving this can be a real challenge. Additionally, our rustic location, though wonderful, comes with sporadic internet access, which may affect our ability to post photos regularly.

To mitigate these challenges, we have established a photo posting schedule:

  • Mini Camp: Monday, Wednesday, Friday
  • Term Camp: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

We aim to post photos by midnight on these scheduled days, internet providing. Despite our best efforts, factors such as inclement weather can temporarily disrupt our internet access, causing delays in photo postings.

Why Can't I Find My Camper's Photo?

If you find yourself unable to locate your camper’s photos, consider the following factors:

  • Quality Control: We strive to post only good-quality photos that campers will be proud of. This commitment to quality may limit the number of photos posted.
  • Limited Photographers: Our camp operates with a limited number of photographers, making it challenging to capture every camper at all times.
  • Camper Preference: We respect the autonomy of our campers and would never force anyone to have their picture taken. If your camper prefers not to be photographed, we honor and respect their choice.

We strive to capture as many special moments as possible during the summer and share those moments with our Alleghany Parents!
