Whether you’re looking for non-stop activity or just some well-earned rest, Family Camp is designed to meet your needs. You’ll leave feeling refreshed, renewed, and invigorated for the seasons ahead!

Daily activities include:

Enjoy live music under the stars, a thrilling scavenger hunt, cozy campfires, and of course, s’mores! Test your knowledge with trivia night, challenge your family to lawn games, or experience the excitement of our camp carnival. Whether you’re winding down from an action-packed day or looking for one last adventure before bed, our evening activities create the perfect way to end each day at Family Camp.
Delicious Meals, No Cooking Required!
Forget the hassle of meal planning—our expert kitchen staff, Wolfoods, will prepare three delicious meals a day for you and your family. Enjoy home-cooked, hearty meals served in our Dining Hall, giving you more time to focus on what truly matters: relaxing and enjoying your time together.
Accommodations: Sleep Under the Stars (With Comfort!)
At Camp Alleghany, we combine traditional camp living with modern amenities to ensure your stay is as comfortable as it is adventurous.
🏕️ Platform Tents – Families stay in spacious platform tents with hardwood floors and beds, allowing you to experience the great outdoors without sacrificing comfort. Each tent accommodates up to five people.
🚿 Modern Facilities – Enjoy nearby flush toilets and showers, as well as access to on-site laundry to keep things fresh throughout your stay.
🏡 Cowbell Alley Cabins – For those who prefer a bit more luxury, we offer two-bedroom, one-bathroom cabins with electricity and private bathrooms for an additional fee. Perfect for families looking for a little extra space!
Flexible Stay Options
Family Camp offers multiple session lengths, so you can choose what fits best for your family:
- 7 Nights (Sunday-Sunday)
- 3 Nights (Sunday-Wednesday or Thursday-Sunday)
- 4 Nights (Sunday-Thursday or Wednesday-Sunday)
Whether you’re looking for a full week of adventure or just a long weekend escape, we’ve got you covered!
Additional Details to Know
- Staff – Our Family Camp staff is made up of Alleghany alumni who love bringing the camp experience to life for families.
- Medical Care – Families are responsible for their own medical needs, though basic first aid is available on-site. Greenbrier Valley Medical Center is just 15 minutes away if needed.
- Pets – As much as we love furry friends, pets are not allowed at Family Camp.
Affordable Family Fun
We believe that incredible family experiences shouldn’t break the bank. Here’s our simple pricing structure:
🏕️ Platform Tents:
- $100 per adult, per night
- $50 per child, per night
🏡 Cowbell Alley Cabins:
- $150 per adult, per night
- $75 per child, per night
At the time of registration, a $125 non-refundable deposit is required. The remaining balance is due by June 1, and invoices are sent on a rolling basis.
