Where I live: Richmond, VA area
When I was at Camp Alleghany: 89-92, 95-96, 2014
Activities I’ve done at camp: Dance, drama, swimming, riflery, arts and crafts, Wild World
Colors: Blue! Maroon
My favorite tradition: I love Vespers. I really like being able to look out over Junior Camp and reflect, sing songs. Its a good start to the week.
Impact of camp on my life: Alleghany has taught me some valuable lessons over the years. I love the independence you gain as a camper. The stress on the importance of manners (thank you, Aunt Franny). I learned how to speak up and advocate for myself as well as how to compromise and talk out issues. I LOVE that its a safe space where you are free to be yourself. That it is a community of women, where we are given the opportunity to find ourselves outside of the expectations society places on us.
