Camp Alleghany offers a couple of programs for parents and families. In summer 2020, during the Covid restrictions, the only program we are running this year is a modified version of Family Camp we’re calling Family Retreats.
Family Retreats — Open Summer 2020
Tired of being stuck at home? Our new Family Retreat is a way to enjoy safely Camp Alleghany as a whole family that complies with public health best practices. Families will be distanced from each other and provide their own meals while still enjoying an outdoors experience in the incomparable natural setting of Camp Alleghany.
Family Camp offers an affordable family vacation in the beautiful mountains of our campus in the green mountains of Greenbrier County, West Virginia. Sleep in our tents, participate in organized activities and enjoy free time, and eat three meals a day prepared by our kitchen staff.
Held every August after the conclusion of our summer camp sessions for girls, Family Camp is open to family members of both sexes, whether moms and dads, sisters and brothers or just a group of friends. A minimum two-night stay is required.
Mother-Daughter Weekend is a chance for prospective campers, girls between the ages of five and ten years old who’ve never attended Camp Alleghany before, to spend a couple nights trying us out.
Every year, Mother-Daughter Weekend takes place in June, on the weekend prior to the start of our Mini Camp program.
