On Monday, January 16, we’ll be launching year two of ‘Ghany Jobs Week — a week filled with blog posts about summer camp jobs, social media shares with job announcements and tips, and maybe even a live event (stay tuned to see if we’re able to fit that in).
You can use the hashtag #GhanyJobsWeek across all our social channels (Facebook | Twitter | Pinterest | Instagram) to keep up with postings. Set a reminder for your calendar so you can stay in the loop.
What that means for you, dear reader (and would-be counselor), is that this is a time to really engage with our hiring process for #Summer2017.
Hiring, hiring, hiring
Of course, our hiring process has already begun. We began taking applications last fall and even did some of our interviews as early as late December. Interviews are now ongoing.
But, while we have plenty of applications in the pipeline, we welcome you to add yours to the mix — we always love hearing from alum ‘Ghany Girls (whether from camp or working at camp or both) who want to work at camp, and we of course invite newcomers to Camp Alleghany for Girls to apply, too.

But we have another offer for you. If you’d like to learn more about what a great benefit it is to actually work at a summer camp — hint, it’s a bigger boon to your career than you might know — then I also encourage you to download our FREE e-book, “6 Reasons Why Being a Camp Counselor is a Great Career Move.”
After years in the summer camp business (and having spent my childhood and youth summers at this same summer camp, my family’s summer camp), I’ve packed this e-book with insights and tips that will be invaluable to you in connecting the dots between what might seem like a simple summer job, but which is really so, so much more.
I also show you how you can use the experience gained in a summer camp position to help make the case for year-round jobs in most any field in your career future.
The e-book is free, just click the offer below to get yours and then stay tuned to ‘Ghany Jobs Week (and this blog space) for ongoing news about job openings, ‘Ghany related news and events, and preparation for #Summer2017!
