Oh what fun we had! Our two recent Winter Reunions and Open Houses in Washington, DC at St. Patrick’s School and in Richmond, Virginia at St. Catherine’s School were both such delights!
Getting to see camp friends and alumnae of all ages to celebrate all things Camp Alleghany, along with meeting families interested in being a part of camp, filled us with such a warm spirit in these cold (er – supposed to be cold!) months. So whether you came and reveled in it, or weren’t able to make it for whatever reason, I thought I’d post these two photo galleries for your viewing pleasure.
And a short blog suits me just fine today because I’m off at an American Camp Association camp conference in Norfolk right now doing what I love to do in the off season — geek out over all aspects of the camp business and particularly its philosophies, guiding principles, new ideas, and general thinking on how to make camp* a deeply meaningful and joyful experience for campers and staff alike.
So enjoy this photo gallery blog where lots of pics are worth way more than a thousand words! And then watch for an upcoming blog on what I learned at the workshop!
