Has it been a year already? WOW!
When we first launched the idea of Mother Daughter Weekend (MDW) last year we didn’t entirely know what to expect. Well, we knew something wonderful would be happening with MDW Director Ace Dandridge at the helm, and her daughter Mae Dandridge slated to assist.
And now that we have last year’s Mother Daughter Weekend under our belt, I would say we’re even more excited for this next go round because we actually KNOW that it is going to be AMAZING!
Amazing how? Let’s count the ways.
The Amazing Mother Daughter Weekend
First, if you’re a mother or other female relative who wants to have a first hand glimpse of sleepaway summer camp* before sending your daughter to camp on her own, Mother Daughter Weekend gives you that…and so much more.
It also gives you what all parents need — to step away from other family and work obligations, away from errands and the hustle and bustle, away from the to do list and the never ending chores and just get to spend time with your daughter(s).
Just. Spend. Time.
And how do you get to spend that time? So wonderfully!
You get to spend time as creativity, making art, singing songs, inventing the moment… You get to do it physically, moving out and about, swimming in a river, dancing, stretching… You get to do it thoughtfully, at campfires, in reflection, and on this journey together. You get to do it naturally, surrounded by the mountains, under the stretch of blue sky by day and twinkling stars by night, gazing upon the green grass and woody trees, kissed by sunshine and moonbeams…You get to do it in a relaxed way, at camp, your own little sleepover.
And best of all you get to do it together.
Mother Daughter Weekend 2020
I can guarantee you that we’ve got great activities in store for you, fun meals we’re cooking up, special campfires to treasure, and all the things that make camp fun, heartfelt, meaningful, and memorable.
So if you want to come join our Polka-Dot Parade (Mother Daughter Weekend’s camp “color” is Polka Dots), then mark your calendar for midnight tonight to get your registration in during our Early Bird Special. You will get $50 off registration if you sign up between now and the early bird deadline of February 15th. But I would encourage you to register early — the word is out, and so many more moms are excited to give Mother Daughter Weekend a try.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Ace. And bookmark this link as it will go live at midnight on January 15th.
Can’t wait to see you this summer at the 2nd Annual Mother Daughter Weekend!
